About Me
Hi I'm Darren the human behind West London Walkers.
After almost 20 years working for a major airline, life in 2020 took an unexpected turn for us all and I suddenly found myself with something rare, time! I started volunteering for the NHS and helping out friends and colleagues by caring for their pets, mostly because I’ve always been the “animal person” in every room.
What began as casual dog walks and feeding visits quickly grew into something much bigger. Word spread, my calendar filled up, and I realised this wasn’t just a hobby, it was a passion. In fact I couldn't do it alone so I set out to find like-minded helpers.
I realised there was a real opportunity to bring something different to the pet-care world: a service built on first-class care, professionalism and genuine love for animals. That’s how West London Walkers was born. I believe every pet deserves more than a quick walk or feed, they deserve care, attention and someone who treats them like a best friend.
Whether it’s a goofy puppy that needs to burn off energy, a senior cat who just wants a cuddle and reassurance, or anything in between, we are here to provide the care, time and compassion they all need. At West London Walkers, your pets are never “just another job”, they’re part of the gang!

What We Offer
Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of every pet. From daily dog walks to overnight and daytime stays, cat company and hamster hellos, we provide a range of services to ensure your pets are happy and healthy in your absence or while you work and because we believe that your best friend needs plenty of exercise and lots of fun we offer one or two hour group walks and one hour solos, we'll ensure they arrive home safe, satisfied and ready for a nap! We'll spend from 15-60 minutes during home visits/drop-ins to make sure your pets get fed and played with and if needed we'll water the plants, take in letters and deliveries and attend to something that you cannot while we are there too! We share practical advice for pet owners, including our latest guide on choosing the right walk length for your dog, advice on getting the best dog walker/home pet services provider and much more.

When we collect your dog we'll attach one of our GPS devices for peace of mind.
Leads & Toiletries
We can provide Hi-Viz leads, however you decide what is favoured by your dog, we'll always check them on pick up for strength and durability. Poop bags? No problem, we always carry plenty of biodegradable bags
Insurance
We have essential insurance policies in place for peace of mind.

DBS Checks & Qualifications
Because we may have access to your home and because you are leaving your precious fur babies with us, we ensure DBS checks are carried out. Walkers are required to have a PSDW Diploma in Pet Services. (CPD accredited)
Getting to Know Your Pet
Getting To Know Your Pet
When you contact us we'll set up a meeting to allow you and your pets to get to know us, we'll ask you lots of questions about the do's and the don'ts, the likes and the dislikes and we'll run through a checklist to make sure we have all the information to keep your pet safe and secure. We'll bring some of our treats to be recognised as good humans! We'll join you on a walk if your dog is a little hesitant, however not all dogs will need this as they are usually raring to go! For the first few walks we'll keep your dogs close and on the lead, once confidence and trust has been established we'll let them run and play, however we'll always check with you first as part of our initial checks
On the Day

On The Day
On walk days we'll collect your dog within a 30min buffer if in groups (max 4) to allow us to move between addresses, we never use vans or transport as we believe in keeping your pets local and in familiar green spaces, stress free. If we are taking your dog on a solo walk then we'll arrive at the agreed time. We'll attach the trackers, check the leads and if you are present we'll get any updates and/or special instructions from you. If you are not present and you have given us unsupervised access then we'll keep your key safe with coded identifiers, we never attach address labels to keys. When we return your dogs we'll clean any grubby paws and dry any wet coats and if you aren't there we'll make sure there's fresh water always and food down if instructed.
